Tang 25! Campus Open House

Join us from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, for a campus-wide open house celebrating the — enjoy free food, tote-bag stamping, a preview of new exhibitions, and Tang swag. The celebration also features The Earthling Parade led by artist Yvette Molina at 5 p.m.

‌â¶ÄŒFall intramural sports registration

Students are invited to participate in fall intramural sports, including co-ed volleyball, 3 v 3 basketball, and doubles tennis. Registration is open until Sept. 17. Leagues will begin the week of Sept. 22 and run through the week of Nov. 17. To register, please visit or contact Elizabeth Ghilardi.

‌Supporting LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø

‌The Queer Faculty and Staff Affinity Group (QFSAG), in partnership with Human Resources, supports LGBTQIA+ staff and faculty at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø by fostering visibility and community.

‌Children’s swim lessons 

‌ºÚÁϳԹÏ꿉۪s swimming and diving team will offer children’s swimming lessons this fall for ages 4 and older. Lessons begin Thursday, Oct. 2. Registration will be held in person from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, in the Williamson Sports Center lobby. For details, email Jill Greenleaf or call ext. 5368.

‌â¶ÄŒSweet Honey in the Rock comes to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø for In It 10

‌As part of the In It 10 series, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is welcoming Sweet Honey in the Rock to Zankel Music Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26. This event is free for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students, staff, faculty, and retirees, but you’ll need to reserve your complimentary ticket using . Tickets for partners, friends, and family are also available for or at the box office.

Skidtoberfest 2025: Call for vendors

‌â¶ÄŒThe first Skidtoberfest will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Upper South Park during Homecoming and Family Weekend. Students, staff, and faculty members are invited to sell their wares. Interested in becoming a vendor? Email the Office of Stewardship and College Events for more details.

‌Campus flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics

Health Services is partnering with Adirondack Health and Wellness to provide flu shots and COVID-19 vaccines from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Tennis Viewing Room on the first floor of the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center. Clinics will be held Friday, Sept. 19; Friday, Oct. 10; Friday, Oct. 24; and Thursday, Nov. 7. The COVID-19 vaccine will not be available at the Sept. 19 clinic. If supply becomes available, it will be included at the October and November clinics. For more information about the clinics and to register, visit the Health Services website or email health@skidmore.edu.

Constitution Day at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Shop

Check out Constitution-related books being studied in class this semester and pick up a free pocket U.S. Constitution at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Shop on Constitution Day, Wednesday, Sept. 17.

‌Help reduce bulk emails by posting your announcement in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Weekly Bulletin, which is distributed to all employees as well as to all students. Submit announcements and events, and faculty and staff achievements by completing the appropriate online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Athletics

The field hockey team will play its home opener against SUNY New Paltz at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Wagner Park, and will host Hartwick College at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. Women’s soccer faces Plattsburgh State at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, followed by the men’s team at 7 p.m., both at Wachenheim Field. Men’s soccer will also play Springfield College at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. Women’s tennis and golf begin their 2025-26 seasons this weekend at Middlebury College.
