Meet the Mathematics and Statistics PAC

Luca Liebow '26 - PAC CaptainLuca

Major: Math

About me: I am a junior from Brookline, Massachusetts. I love photography, being in nature, hiking, exploring new places, and being around friends. I recently transferred to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, from the University of New Hampshire.

Why PAC? At UNH, their version of PAC was very helpful to me as a student, then I worked there as a tutor and enjoyed helping students, so I'd like to continue that help here at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.

Favorite Classes: My favorite classes so far have been Calc III and Linear Algebra.

Academic Advice: Make sure to manage your time well and spread out when you do your work, so you don't overwork yourself. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help, from your professors, classmates, friends, or peer tutors. People will be happy to help!

Majors: Mathematics & Biology    Janu

About Me: I'm from Metuchen, a small town in New Jersey. I love to play and watch sports like Basketball and Ping Pong. I like movies and sitcoms, but my favorite show is Survivor. I'm excited to be joining PAC this semester.

Why PAC? I love math and especially teaching others. I was a camp counselor over the summer, and I also helped tutor at my local library so I think I can continue to share what I know through PAC.

Favorite Class: Linear Algebra, Calculus 3, Mesoamerican Archaeology

Academic Advice: Use a deep analysis and creativity to make your own version of what you learn and then teach that version to someone else. That's a great way to make something stick.

Major: Computer Science       Minor: Mathematics

About me: I enjoy the outdoors, the indoors, and hanging out with my twin! Also, I'm from the Bronx.

Why PAC? I am grateful for the help I received from PAC and look forward to joining the team and helping others.

Favorite Class: All of them (each class gave me a unique experience).

Academic Advice: Don't save all your assignments for later. Whenever you can, do it.

Sammy Tran '27 Sammy

Major: Computer Science Minor: Mathematics

About Me: I am from The Bronx, New York. In my free time, I enjoy trying new things, biking, and playing games.

Why PAC?: PAC helped clarify any confusion I had from my classes, and it would be fun to help others.

Favorite Class: It's hard to choose one!

Academic Advice: If an assignment feels overwhelming, it can be helpful to start doing the easiest parts first, and then work from there.
